This time with the integrated Gillette Live Like a Champion campaign... 

About a month ago iblink won gold for the most innovative campaign at the FMBE awards. We had a great evening, and two of the account handling team met the comedian Rich Hall when they went to pick up their award. Here is a picture of Katherine and Harmony graciously accepting the Gold award from Rich. Cheers Rich!

Bassetts Soft & Chewy Daily Energiser

Check out this video of our Daily Energiser activity for Bassetts, what a fun spectacle to see on your way to work!

We ran this live marketing campaign as part of the national launch of the new energy sweets from Bassetts  – portable pastilles which helps the busy commuter avoid the usual dip in energy levels experienced during the day. 

The campaign was designed to reach the audience during a typical day in the office. Beginning with early morning activity in mainline railway stations, with our fantastic dance troupes. In addition we had field teams which targeted offices directly before hit squads appear in high density pedestrian ‘hotspots’ in the early afternoon.  

Overall a fun campaign to work on, and altogether an engaging experience for commuters and office workers alike. You can also check out some pictures of the campaign on our flickr page here.  

we own the night

As part of a national launch of the new Wrigley’s 5 gum, we implemented the strategy ‘We own the night’ based on the insight that your sense become heightened after dark. 

The challenge was to get 500,000 samples of the new chewing gum and coupons into hands as quickly as possible to ensure a high impact launch, creating a sensory experience to bring the brand idea to life and essentially to increase sales. The above-the-line was brought to life via mobile  projections, illuminating key buildings across 5 major cities across the UK whilst our ‘stimuLATErs’ distributed the sample packs in and around key bars and clubs, leaving behind a trail of mystery and intrigue.

This week, Marketing Week featured an article mentioning us here at iblink and some of the great work we have done. The article, ‘When progress meets tradition’ talks of how integrating traditional media with new media, done properly, can result in great things – as we have experienced.

‘Traditional media can offer known, pre-measurable and sometimes more widely spread OTS’. However, new media offers a “wow factor” which harnesses the power of word of mouth. Alex Johns, our MD said, "even before the consumer gets to grips with the creative, new media channels are saying 'you really must check this out'. Consequently it offers greater cut-through. Combining the two maximises the values of both."

This was demonstrated in a campaign we created for Gillette Razor Amnesty campaign and also Sure Girl fashion Idol campaign.
